Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal

Laser works by identifying the melanin in root. The light travels down the hair and is absorbed by the follicle, where its energy converts to heat. All of this concentrated energy impairs the ability of the hair follicle to regrow. Laser hair removal is our specialty and we LOVE to see the results. It’s a permanent hair reduction treatment that gives lasting results, for smooth, hair-free skin. You will see RESULTS after every treatment. We recommend 6 to 10 sessions spaced out every 4-6 weeks. There is options to pay as you go to ensure laser is accessible to everyone. If you are suffering with PCOS or any condition causing excess hair growth- Laser Hair Removal is the perfect option. Clients describe it as "Life Changing". Any questions - we can chat below through the booking link.

How it works

Session 1

See hair shed after 7-14 days. You may encourage the shedding process by exfoliating.

Session 2

Hair is slower to regrow. You can shave between sessions.

Session 3

Regrowth becomes thinner and lighter

Session 4

By now you may only need to shave once in the 6 weeks period.

Session 5

Skin feels soft, follicles minimise.

Session 6

Ingrown hairs and shaving rashes have reduced and even disappeared

Session 7

Gaps between sessions increase

Session 8

Move on to maintenance session now as recommended by your therapist. This may only be needed once a year. This varies from person to person.

Aftercare Advice

During the healing phase, the area must be treated delicately. Do not rub, scratch, or pick the skin.

Pat the area dry after a shower and do not shave if swollen. The hair will shed naturally and may take up to three weeks

Immediately following treatment the skin can be red, feel warm with some localised swelling, discomfort, bruising and some discolouration. This usually dissipates within a few hours but can last up to ten days.

The use of cool compressions and or aloe Vera lotion or gel is recommended to soothe and comfort the area if required.

All heat treatments such as hot showers/baths, steam rooms/saunas; hairdryers etc. should be avoided for the next 24 to 48 hours.

The hair on the treatment area may be shaven or cut as often as needed, this will not affect hair growth or the treatment progress.Waxing, epilating, plucking and electrolysis are not advised whilst having laser hair reduction treatments. These processes remove hair from the follicles leaving the laser with no target. Treatment would be non-effective.

Mineral make up is advisable because of its protective and soothing properties and must be applied and removed delicately.

Avoid strenuous exercise for 24/48 hours post treatment.

If any crusting or scabbing should occur, keep the area moist and let it fall off on its own accord.

It cannot be stressed enough the importance of using a broad spectrum sunblock (SPF 30+) between treatment procedures, when exposed to the sun to keep the treatment area as pale as possible.

False tanning products may be used between laser appointments; however there must be no trace of any tanning products on the skin immediately prior to your appointment.
